So, when Toby, who works closely with the Biomimicry Institute, came to us with her vision for Biomimicry for Social Innovation, we knew she was at the cutting edge of an emerging idea. Translating biological knowledge and ecosystem success strategies into tools and practices for the social sector, Toby created a platform for the exchange of ideas, insights and services for applying nature’s intelligence toward human society.

Like Biomimicry, we followed nature’s lead and designed her brand’s graphic mark to convey the intelligent, system-wide cyclical approach nature often takes to keep order and balance in the universe. Inspired by the Fibonacci spiral, we graphically translated this prolific symbol of this in nature for Biomimicry for Social Innovation.
